The Bidvest Tank Terminals Schools Project continues to add value to the stakeholders of Bushlands and Fynnland Primary School. Learners continue to make progress in literacy and numeracy, and educators are starting to embrace the technology.
Despite a slightly disruptive first term at Fynnland without a school principal, we were pleased with the progress made. The Grade 1’s, 2’s and 3’s continued with the literacy program.
Parents have been encouraged to download the Feed The Monster app and learners have been encouraged to learn at home as well.
The intermediate phase learners continue to focus on numeracy. Assessing the learners and identifying their gaps was a key focus in the 1st term. Learners have gained confidence and become accustomed to navigating the devices requiring minimal assistance.
